What We Do and Who We Are

Veterans Healing Initiative is the first and only charitable organization dedicated entirely to identifying and evaluating Veteran-focused dual-diagnosis Substance Abuse and PTSD treatment programs and to developing a national treatment model.

Our Board of Governors is comprised of executives who have a personal connection to the disease of addiction and decorated Veterans who are dedicated to serving the men and women of the Armed Forces. Our Honorary Advisory Board consists of select individuals who have worked in the field of addiction, held government or military positions or worked in other industries that are relevant to our efforts.

Our Clinical Advisory Board combines the expertise of leading physicians, clinicians, academics and interventionists who have years of experience working in the field of addiction. These professionals will assess programs, conduct site visits, evaluate grant applicants and submit recommendations to our Board of Governors for consideration. Through the collaborative efforts of its members, Veterans Healing Initiative has the ability to reach out to a wide array of contributors and develop creative avenues for raising funds.  Our efforts will include public service ads, conferences, joint venture programs with major league sports and entertainment companies, athletic events which raise dollars for designated treatment funds or specific scholarship programs and community-based fund drives.

Through annual events and fundraising programs Veterans Healing Initiative will reach out to corporations, individuals, physicians and foundations for financial and marketing support. As an independent, not-for-profit organization, we can determine target recipients and fundraising objectives without bias or conflict of interest.
