Help Women Receive The Treatment And Peace Of Mind
They Need Now.

According to the Veterans Administration (VA), as of June 2008, women make up 11% or approximately 190,000 of the 1.7 million troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.   They represent 14% of the overall US Armed Forces and 5% of the VA's population. That number is expected to double by 2010.

With increasing rates of Military Sexual Trauma (MST) alongside combat-related trauma, many women veterans do not know where to turn for help.   As a result, rates of alcohol and drug use, increased suicide risk, major depression, PTSD and other mental health disorders continue to rise. (1) These women represent 5% of the women’s veterans homeless population,  76% of whom experience drug, alcohol or mental health problems. (2)
