Veterans Healing Initiative (VHI) provides funds for detox, residential, transitional, and outpatient continuum-of-care for dually diagnosed veterans. VHI will formulate agreements with licensed existing treatment centers across the country that provide evidence-based, best practices, dual-diagnosis treatment for veterans suffering from substance abuse and PTSD. We will track outcomes of the veterans we sponsor and evaluate which program models are most effective for our patient population.
These treatment centers will be identified by VHI's Clinical Advisory team and site visits will be conducted by selected members. All prospective funding recipients will submit a written proposal and make a clinical presentation before our Board of Governors. Once our Board of Governors has voted to approve the treatment program for funding, we will negotiate with the approved treatment centers to attain the best possible pricing for treatment.
